Potential Impact of Future Tuberculosis Vaccines in Setting with High HIV Prevalence and in Aging Populations

PI: Rebecca Harris

MRC.logo_.410This research will use models to estimate the epidemiological impact of promising new TB vaccines in high burden settings, with the aim of informing which vaccine candidates and vaccination populations could deliver the greatest public health impact. This will include modelling vaccine impact in settings with high HIV prevalence experiencing high HIV-TB co-infection, and in low HIV-prevalence settingswith ageing populations due to the demographic transition. This research will use models to estimate the epidemiological impact of promising new TB vaccines in high burden settings.
