Pertussis Vaccination During Pregency and Reduction in Incidence in Children Under 1 in Brazil

Petussis vaccine was introduced to pregnant women in 2013 to prevent pertussis in children to you young  to have received compete vaccination and to contribute to the reduction  the incidence in infants in general.. This project  evaluates the efficacy of vaccination by comparing incidence of pertussis in children born to vaccinated mothers to that in children born to unvaccinated mothers; it will also explore other risk factors for pertussis in the first year of life,  document clinical, laboratory aspects of pertussis in the first of life and sequence B. pertussis isolates.
